Virtual same-day care options
If you need care today for an urgent medical need, consider these virtual options.
Primary Care On Demand
Use the Primary Care On Demand mobile app as an extension of your in-clinic care to access video visits with a physician from wherever you are in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. The service is available 24/7/365 for patients three and older. Learn more, and download the app from the Apple app store or Google Play.

Express Care Online
Use Express Care Online to complete a Mayo Clinic patient portal questionnaire about minor health concerns and conditions. You'll then receive a response or diagnosis within one hour if submitted between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. After-hours submissions will be answered the next day. This service is available for those 18 months to 75. You must have a patient portal account and be physically located in or a resident of Iowa, Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Check Symptoms
Check Symptoms is an online assessment tool within the patient portal that allows patients to answer a series of targeted questions to evaluate symptoms and receive a care recommendation. The service is available 24/7/365 for patients of all ages residing in Arizona, Iowa, Minnesota or Wisconsin who have a Mayo Clinic primary care provider.
Nurse line triage
Mayo Clinic primary care nurse triage, also known as the Nurse Line, is a convenient way to access advice from our team of expert, caring registered nurses. A nurse will help you get the right care for your needs, often without ever having to leave your home. Visit the Nurse Line page to find the phone number for your location.
In-person care options
If you prefer in-person care, consider these options:
Primary care
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine clinic providers serve as the first treatment resource for illnesses, minor injuries and long-term care of chronic diseases of all ages. These services are available during clinic hours.
Express Care
Mayo Clinic Express Care offers in-person or video visits for minor health concerns for ages 18 months through 75 at limited locations.
Urgent Care or Same Day Clinic
Same-day appointments for nonemergency minor health concerns is available during clinic hours at limited locations. Urgent Care will see patients 6 months and older. Same Day Clinic will see patients 3 months and older.
Mobile Health Clinic
Virtual or in-person appointments for routine or preventive care for all ages is available during clinic hours at limited locations, including these Minnesota locations: Blooming Prairie, Butterfield and Sherburn. Take a 360° tour of the mobile health clinic, and learn more about offered services.
Emergency Department
Get 24/7/365 care for all ages for severe and life-threatening situations that require immediate medical attention. Call 911 immediately; do not drive. Find an Emergency Department near you.
