The cubital tunnel is a space in the elbow that allows for passage of the ulnar nerve around the elbow. This nerve also is known as the funny bone nerve. Cubital tunnel syndrome occurs when the nerve is stretched or under pressure and causing pain, loss of sensation, tingling or weakness in the hand and fingers. Surgery may be required to relieve pressure on the nerve.
