Why You Should Choose Spine & Neurological Surgery in New Prague
The right neurosurgery care, the first time. Our Spine & Neurological Surgery team in New Prague offers comprehensive care.
We treat a wide range of conditions affecting the spine and nervous system with:
Patient-focused care
Our team is guided by Mayo Clinic's primary value: The needs of the patient come first. We place your needs above all else and will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan just right for you.
Surgical experience
The team provides a wide breath of surgical expertise, including everything from minimally invasive spine surgery to complex cranial surgery. Our surgical team has performed thousands of surgeries and is supported by the highly specialized expertise and resources of Mayo Clinic. Ranked No. 1 in Neurology and Neurosurgery by U.S. News and World Report, Mayo Clinic has more than 100 neurologists and neurosurgeons who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of more than 500 neurological conditions and diseases.
Team-based care
In a successful team, each member plays a critical role and makes the team stronger. You are the center of our team. We want to get to know you and learn about your goals.
Other team members include a:
- Surgeon
- Nurse practitioner
- Nurse
- Scheduling staff
- Primary care provider
A nurse practitioner and surgeon are paired, and they will review your case together. This helps you get an appointment and answers to your questions quicker. If you are having surgery, you will see the same surgeon and nurse practitioner in the clinic and operating room on the day of your surgery. This will lower the chances of unnecessary testing and potential for medical errors. Seeing familiar faces may ease any fears or confusion you have, as well.
Your primary care provider is an important part of your team. They will be notified of your treatment plan, follow your progress in our electronic health record and be ready to manage your health care after your surgery.
Patient above pay
We use a salary-based pay model for our surgeons. This means they do not receive more pay for performing more surgeries. This removes any conflict of interest or incentive to talk you into surgery that may not be right for you or perform more surgery than you need. Our primary goal will always be focused on developing the right treatment plan to meet your individual needs.
