For Patients & Visitors
The BEE Award Nomination
The BEE Award, which stands for "Be Exceptional Everyday," is a recognition program at Mayo Clinic Health System in Wisconsin designed to honor and celebrate the outstanding contributions of our staff. We recognize our staff is the backbone of our organization, and the BEE Award serves as a platform to acknowledge those who consistently go above and beyond their regular duties — exhibiting extraordinary service to others in efforts to support patients, visitors and/or other staff within the organization.
What is the BEE Award
The BEE Award acknowledges individual efforts and reinforces our core values to all staff, patients and visitors. By celebrating those who exemplify our Mayo Clinic values, we aim to inspire others to strive for exceptional performance in their respective roles.
Patients and staff may submit nominations for the BEE Award. Each month, recipients will be chosen by an internal selection committee and honored with the BEE Award.

*If you would like to nominate a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, please complete and submit The DAISY Award Nomination Form for frontline nurses.
Criteria
When reviewing each nomination story, the BEE Award selection committee may look at how the staff member:
- Actively identified needs of patients, visitors and/or other staff.
- Used their skills and talents to address concerns for other people.
- Exemplified the kind of team member that patients, loved ones and staff recognize as an outstanding role model.
- Used resources to assist others.
- Modeled Mayo Clinic's RICH TIES — Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Healing, Teamwork, Innovation, Excellence and Stewardship — values in their everyday work.
Nominations
One of the unique aspects of the BEE Award is its inclusive nomination process. We believe recognition should come from all corners of our community, which is why both co-workers and patients can nominate staff. This approach ensures staff who make a profound difference receive the recognition they deserve.

I am excited to nominate Pat E. for the BEE Award.
During our recent pharmacy department move, Pat went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition. Some of their actions included taking on extra responsibilities, organizing and labeling inventory, even arriving early or staying late to coordinate with the moving team and ensure all equipment was properly handled. Additionally, Pat supported our team by providing clear instructions, helping us settle into the new space and maintained a positive attitude throughout the process.
For the exceptional efforts and commitment, I recommend Pat for this recognition.
