One of my favorite things about being a pediatrician is the ability to develop longstanding relationships with my patients and their families. My goal is to become their teammate to help them gain excitement about healthy lifestyle habits and also to provide guidance when things aren't going as planned. I believe individualized care is exceptionally important, and I take special pride in finding effective ways to communicate with and teach my patients and their families, no matter their age or previous medical knowledge. Possibly my favorite thing about pediatrics is making the medical environment more friendly, and even fun, for kids.
I grew up in southeast Minnesota and completed my undergraduate education at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, so I am very grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine within the region I consider home. In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my husband, our family and our dogs. Some of our favorite hobbies include hiking and exploring state and national parks, cooking and cheering for our favorite sports teams.
