New Hospital in La Crosse
The La Crosse Hospital is more than a new building; it is a $215 million investment in the Coulee Region and a key part of Mayo Clinic's initiative to integrate its physical spaces and digital capabilities to bring an unparalleled care experience to our patients.
Patient comfort, privacy and safety are top priorities in the new six-level, 96-bed hospital. The private rooms are spacious and filled with natural light, offering features such as temperature control, adjustable lighting, entertainment options and access to important information right from the patient's bed. Each room also includes a spacious restroom to ensure both privacy and safety.
Parking and patient drop-off and pickup
- Patients and visitors should use Lot 3 for parking, which has accessible parking. Enter via 10th and 11th streets.
- There is a drive-up at the main entrance for convenient pick-up and drop-off and also allows for limited short-term and accessible parking.
- Door attendants are available during the day to assist you and provide access to short-term (15-minute) parking.
Healing through integrated technology
The hospital integrates the latest technology to personalize care for each patient and support our staff, including:
- Digital door signs positioned next to the room door to provide clinical staff with patient information such as fall risk, dietary restrictions, isolation precautions and other pertinent patient care information.
- Patients can control their window shades and room lighting, change television channels and call for assistance from nursing staff from their one-pillow speaker.
- Patient monitoring system connected to telemedicine technology that can be used for two-way visits with Mayo Clinic physicians and nurses.
The flexible design of the new La Crosse hospital will allow the facility to evolve to meet changing healthcare needs in the future. Patient rooms and spaces can support team collaboration and patient care inside and outside the facility and across digital platforms.
