Justine Johnson, CNM

As a midwife, I seek to empower women to take an active role in both their health and the care they receive. It is my job to provide patients with the evidence, information and options to then make the best decision for themselves and their bodies. Through this process, I truly enjoy getting to know patients and what is most important to them. I want every patient who steps into my care to feel that they have been seen and heard. I take pride in the relationships I build with patients — this is one of my favorite parts of being a midwife.

I am originally from Nebraska and also received my bachelor's degree there. I moved to Minnesota for my first nursing job and somehow have never wanted to leave. While my nursing background is varied, my true calling has always been midwifery. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 6 years before receiving my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in midwifery.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our dogs. I thoroughly enjoy reading, true crime, and Diet Coke. I am happy to be here and to be serving the women of Southwest Minnesota.
