    Provider's Bio

My passion is bringing high-quality cancer care to patients in community care settings. Along with seeing patients in Eau Claire and La Crosse, Wisconsin, I practice at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In my clinical practice, I am a full-spectrum community oncologist and hematologist with a focus on growth and innovation within community-based cancer care.

My research is centered on the design and implementation of innovative models of cancer care delivery, with a focus on bridging the divide for cancer patients experiencing disparities in access to care - particularly rural populations. Recent work includes the design and implementation of Mayo Clinic’s “DEFeNDR” program — a remote patient monitoring program that leverages digital health to facilitate dynamic and decentralized outpatient management for cancer patients experiencing neutropenic fever. I also co-lead the Stanford University and Mayo Clinic collaborative on telehealth in cancer, and I serve as an advisor with the Rural Cancer Institute.
