    Provider's Bio

As a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES), I educate, support and advocate for people affected by diabetes – addressing the stages of diabetes throughout the lifespan. As a CDCES, I promote self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that reduce risks and optimize health outcomes.

I am a huge believer in self-care. I love taking baths, long walks in nature and hikes. I play volleyball year-round. I also coach volleyball. My husband and I have three children and a dog. I am a believer in being non-judgmental, which involves cultivating what you could call a “respectful awareness.” It means trying to let go of automatic judgments that naturally arise in our minds due to daily experiences. I believe everyone should be treated equally and fairly.
