Celestine Jain-Ofoma, M.D.

I strive to be a positive influence on people around me. As Jane Goodall said, "What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

While preventive medicine and management of chronic medical conditions, particularly diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, hypertension, congestive heart failure, chronic lung diseases and obesity, keep me engaged in the practice of medicine, I find helping patients decipher and understand their complex, uncommon conditions intellectually challenging and emotionally gratifying.

I grew up in the Philippines, and my husband is from Nigeria. My family and I love to travel, especially off the beaten paths. We spent a lot of time in nature hikes. We enjoy exploring new places, engaging with the local people through their unique cuisine, music, art and dance, and immersing ourselves in various cultures. When we are not able to travel, I occupy myself with doing crafts, reading, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts and volunteering.
