    Provider's Bio

I find it is important that you have the time to tell me about your symptoms and how they are affecting your daily life. I want to hear about them because that is the only way I will be able to understand what may be the cause of these symptoms. I want you to know that there is no judgment. I want to help to the best of my abilities. You are not a number to me – you are a person who matters.

I have been a registered nurse since 2009 with a variety of specialties from ICU to emergency medicine. I worked in a psychiatric outpatient clinic as a provider in rural Western Minnesota covering many rural towns. I offered outpatient care for psychiatric patients, Suboxone patients, and I worked in the county jail four hours a week, while in that position. I cared for depression, substance use, bipolar and acute psychotic disorders. I have a passion for addiction medicine and feel community education on this topic is very important, especially considering the rise in this population.

I grew up in Northern Iowa and have had a passion for animals my entire life. I donate and volunteer my time to animal rescue centers and humane societies. I also run a half marathon once a year.
