Prescription drugs need to be disposed of properly. Unused or expired prescription medications can be disposed of correctly utilizing the free local drop box programs in your community.
Instructions for dropping off unused prescription medications:
- Leave drug in its original container
- Use a marker to cross out your name and personal information on the container
- Keep the name of the drug visible
- Drop the drugs into the drop box at your local law enforcement center
