Phase 3 is designed to help you continue to maintain a healthier lifestyle through supervised exercise sessions and health education. Phase 3 is an extension of Phase 2 with the emphasis to further achieve your goals through self-structured exercise sessions.
The exercise component
Exercise programs are individually tailored and may include the following equipment:
Arm ergometer
Bicycle
Hand weights
Treadmill
Participants will attend sessions three times weekly for one hour. Phase 3 is divided into one-month segments with the maximum of three months participation.
Cost
Phase 3 is a self-pay program.
Enrollment
Phase 3 is available to recent Phase 2 graduates who have not met their prescribed exercise functional capacity or by physician referral for patients who meet risk stratification.
Additional information
Do not eat a heavy meal prior to exercise session.
Rubber-soled shoes with arch support are recommended.
Take your medication on your normal schedule.
Wear comfortable clothing.
