Pain medicine specialists in Austin, Minnesota, offer evaluation and treatment of your pain while in the hospital and as an outpatient. Our team of experts from a variety of specialties work together to ensure we're meeting your needs.

We offer a comprehensive range of soothing treatment options that not only address your condition, but also:

    • Reduce or eliminate pain
    • Increase stamina and strength to improve functionality
    • Improve sleep, work, leisure activities and the overall quality of life

    We treat pain resulting from:

    • Injury
    • Strain
    • Surgical complication
    • Degenerative arthritis
    • Certain forms of infection
    • Autoimmune diseases
    • Complications of diseases, such as diabetes, stroke and cancer

    Treatment options

Depending on your condition, treatment can include psychological counseling, physical therapy, oral medications, injections, surgery and device implants. Because pain and medications may impair physical skills and judgment, it's strongly recommended that patients be accompanied by a chaperone for treatment appointments. Some procedures may require hospitalization.

    Making an appointment

You will need a referral from your primary care provider, who may request a pain consultation during your hospitalization or as an outpatient. After treatment completion, we'll coordinate any needed follow-up care with your primary care provider.
