Hearing Aid Testing in Menomonie
A diagnostic hearing test will determine if you need a hearing aid. If a hearing aid is recommended, by Wisconsin state law, you have six months to schedule a hearing aid consultation before another hearing test is required.
You'll receive advanced services from our audiologists versus seeing a hearing instrument specialist. Audiologists have received graduate-level university education and are qualified to assess and treat infants, children and adults with auditory and balance system disorders. Audiologists also provide appropriate amplification, counseling, education and training to those with hearing impairment.
All hearing aids have parts to carry sounds from the environment into your ear, including:
- A microphone to pick up sound
- An amplifier to increase volume of the sound
- A receiver to send sound into your ear so you can hear it
- A disposable or rechargeable battery to provide power to the electronic parts.
